How to Transfer Volumes Between Projects

Follow the steps below to learn how to transfer volumes between projects:

Step 1: to your account.

Step 2: From the left-hand menu, select Storage, then choose Volumes.

Step 3: Locate the desired volume in the list, click on the Actions dropdown menu associated with it, and select Create Transfer.

Step 4: Enter a descriptive name for the transfer to identify it later easily.

Step 5: Click Submit to generate the transfer credentials.

Step 6: After submission, a dialog will display the Transfer ID and Authorization Key.

Step 7: Accept the Volume Transfer

  1. In the destination project, navigate to the "Volumes" section.

  2. Click on Accept Transfer.

  1. Enter the previously obtained Transfer ID and Authorization Key.

  1. Click Submit to complete the transfer process.

By following these steps, you can successfully transfer a volume between projects within the same region in your acecloud environment.

Note: Ensure the volume you intend to transfer is detached from any virtual machines and in an Available state. Volume transfers are typically supported within the same region.
Note: Securely copy and store these credentials, as they are required to accept the transfer.
