How to Manage your Buckets?

a. How to view the list of all buckets?

To view the list of all buckets, follow the steps given below:

Step 1: Login to your account.

Step 2: Navigate to Services and then click on My Services.

Step 3: Click on your project.

Step 4: Click on S3 Storage, then on Buckets. Here, you can view the list of all of your buckets.

b. How to create a bucket?

To create a bucket, follow the steps given below:

Step 1: Click on Create Bucket.

Step 2: Enter the bucket Name, select the Bucket Region where you want the Bucket to be created, and click Next.

Note: If you want to keep the bucket settings similar to the old Bucket, select it under the Copy settings from existing bucket option.

Step 3: Enable the setting you want to keep for the Bucket.

Note: If you have not enabled Bucket Versioning, you can't allow Object Locking.

Step 4: Review your details and click on Create Bucket.

c. How to view your S3 configuration details?

To view your S3 configuration detail, follow the below steps:

Step 1: Click on the setting icon.

Step 2: Here, you can view your s3 configuration details.

d. How to delete a bucket?

To delete a bucket, follow the below steps:

Step 1: Click on the action icon against the bucket that you want to delete and click on Delete.

Step 2: Type your bucket name all in capital letters and click on Delete.

e. How to edit the property setting of the bucket?

To edit the property settings of the bucket, follow the below steps:

Step 1: Click on the action icon against the bucket for which you want to edit the property settings and click on Settings.

Step 2: Here you can enable/suspend your bucket versioning.

Note: If Object Locking is enabled, you can not suspend your bucket versioning.

f. How to edit the object locking setting of the bucket?

To edit the object locking settings of the bucket, follow the below steps:

Step 1: Click on the action icon against the bucket for which you want to edit the object locking settings and click on Settings.

Step 2: Click on the Object Locking tab.

Step 3: Enable Bucket-Level Object Retention, enter the retention time, and click on Apply.

Note: You cannot edit the setting if Object Locking is disabled.

g. How to edit the access control setting of the bucket?

To edit the access control settings of the bucket, follow the below steps:

Step 1: Click on the action icon against the bucket for which you want to edit the access control settings and click on Settings.

Step 2: Click on the Acces Control tab.

Step 3: Click on Manage Group and then click on Edit.

Step 4: Enable the access option you want and click on Save.
