How to Manage an Autoscaling Template?

a. How to view the list of all Autoscaling Templates?

To view a list of all autoscaling templates, follow the steps given below:

Step 1: to your account.

Step 2: Navigate to Compute, then Autoscaling, and then click on Templates. Here, you can view all your templates.

b. How to create an Autoscaling Template?

To create an autoscaling template, follow the steps given below:

Step 1: Click on the Template button.

Step 2: Enter Basic Details and Source Details for the Autoscaling Template and click on Next.

Name

Enter name for the autoscaling template.

Description

Enter description for the autoscaling template.

Image Type

Select image type for the autoscaling template.

Image

Select image for the autoscaling template.

Flavor Type

Select flavor type for the autoscaling template.

Flavor

Select flavor for the autoscaling template.

Step 3: Select Networking Details, enter Block Storage, and click on Next.

Select a Network

Select a network for the autoscaling template.

Note: If you want to create a new network, click on Create Network.

Select a Security Group

Select a security group for the autoscaling template.

Note: If you want to create a new security group, click on Create Security Group.

Require Key Pair

If you want a key pair, select Yes otherwise select NO.

Select a Key Pair

Select a key pair for the autoscaling template.

Note: If you want to create a new key pair, click on Create Key Pair.

Volume Size (GB)

The volume size is filled automatically according to the flavor selected. Note: You can increase the volume size, but you can’t decrease the volume size.

Step 4: Review the template details and click Save.

You have Successfully created an Autoscaling Template.

c. How to delete an Autoscaling Template?

To delete an autoscaling template, follow the steps given below:

i. For single template deletion:

Step 1: Choose the template you want to delete, click on Select, and choose Delete from the drop-down menu.

Step 2: Click on Delete Template to confirm the deletion.

ii. For multiple template deletion:

Step 1: Select the checkbox as shown in the below image and click on the Delete button.

Step 2: Click on Delete Templates to confirm the deletion

d. How to update an Autoscaling Template name?

To update an autoscaling template name, follow the steps given below:

Step 1: Choose the template that you want to update and click on Select and choose Update Details from the drop-down.

Step 2: Enter the updated name and click on Update Details.

e. How to view an Autoscaling Template overview?

To view an autoscaling template overview, follow the steps given below:

Step 1: Choose the template for which you want to view the overview and click on Template Name.

Step 2: Here, you can view the template overview.
