Instances that you shut off do not incur any charges, but all the resources that were associated with it continue to incur charges. Please note that you only pay for the time your instance runs and any extra storage volumes you utilize.

a. How to shut off an instance?

You can shut off instances by following these simple steps:

Step 1: to your account.

Step 2: Navigate to Compute, then select Instances.

Step 3: Choose the instance you want to shut off, click the drop-down menu, and choose Shut Off Instance.

Step 4: Click on Confirm to complete the process.

b. How to start an instance?

Choose the instance you want to start, click the drop-down, and choose Start Instance.
