How to create an instance with the snapshot image?

To create an instance with the snapshot image, follow the steps given below:

Step 1: Login to your account.

Step 2: Navigate to Services and then click on My Services.

Step 3: Click on your project.

Step 4: Navigate to Compute and then click on Instances.

Step 5: Click on Create Instance.

Step 6: Enter the instance details and hit Next.

Step 7: Click on Source then select Instance Snapshot from Boot Source drop-down and select your snapshot.

Note: Volume size will be automatically filled based on the snapshot selected. Toggle Delete Volume On Instance Delete if you want to delete the volume on instance deletion.

Step 8: Click on Flavor then choose your flavor and click Next. If your flavor is unavailable, create a ticket with your specifications.

Step 9: Choose a network of your own choice.

Step 10: Select the Security Groups and click Next. (You can also create a security group. Click here to view how to create a security group.)

Step 11: Click on Key Pair, select the Key Pair and click Next. (If there is no Key Pair available, click here to view how to create a key pair.)

Step 12: Click on Submit.
