Will I be billed for the instances that are shut off, and how can I shut them off?

Instances that you shut off do not incur any charges, but all the resources that were associated with it continue to incur charges. Please note that you only pay for the time your instance runs and any extra storage volumes you utilize.

a. How to shut off an instance?

You can shut off instances by following these simple steps:

Step 1: Login to your account.

Step 2: Navigate to the Services section and click on My Services.

Step 3: Click on your project.

Step 4: Navigate to Compute, then select Instances.

Step 5: Choose the instance that you want to shut off, click Select, and choose Shut Off Instance from the drop-down menu.

Step 6: Click on Shut Off Instance to complete the process.

b. How to start an instance?

Choose the instance that you want to start, click Select, and choose Start Instance from the drop-down menu.
