A snapshot is an image that preserves the disk state of a running instance. To configure a backup of the VM, follow the steps given below:

Step 1: to your account.

Step 2: Navigate to Compute and then click on Instances.

Step 3: Select the Instance from the list, click on drop-down, and then choose Create Snapshot.

Step 4: Enter the Snapshot Name and hit Submit.
