How do I attach/detach a volume to an instance?

Follow the steps below to learn how to attach a volume:

Step 1: Login to your account.

Step 2: Navigate to Services and then click on My Services.

Step 3: Click on your project.

Step 4: Navigate to Compute and then click on Instances.

Step 5: Click on Select against the instance for which you want to attach a volume.

Step 6: Choose Attach Volume from the drop-down menu.

Step 7: Choose a volume from the drop-down and hit Attach Volume.

Note: Select the checkbox if you want to delete the volume when the instance is terminated.

Follow the steps below to learn how to detach a volume:

Step 1: Click on Select against the instance for which you want to detach a volume.

Step 2: Choose Detach Volume from the drop-down menu.

Step 3: Choose a volume from the drop-down that you want to remove and hit Detach Volume.
